Since 1978, Jim has played touch guitar, a unique form of playing that allows a musician to play bass and guitar simultaneously. He has perfomed solo and with rock and jazz groups in some of the finest venues in Denver, Southern California, and Belgium. Also a vocalist, this means audiences experience a unique show, which will be remembered for a long time.
Los Angeles venues played include The Strand, Cafe 322, Columbo's, Vitello's, The Lighthouse Cafe, Bogarts, The Knitting Factory, The Vintage Cafe (The Spot), Mr. T's Bowl, At My Place, and many, many others.
In addition to playing solo Jim has performed with The Fuzzy Logic Boptet, The Wade Preston Band, Out of Town, Crepuscule with Fido, The 3-Piece Quartet, The Debbie Dee Blues Band, and others, as well as being musical director for the US band of John Walker of the Walker Brothers.
